Sarge is a one-of-a-kind!
If a true all-around go-to horse is what you are looking for, he checks every box. Standing tall and stout at 15.2 he is the perfect personal horse for everything from trails to cows. Put anyone one on him. He is safe and sane, ready for husbands and children.
With good looks to spare he is the type of well-trained, versatile horse we do not see often and he is a rider favorite around here. He is gentle, gentle, gentle with a heart of gold. And when we say he is the first one to the gate or with a head over the stall door to get petted we mean he is undefeated. He loves people.
Sarge has the looks, temperament, and riding style for any age, stage or activity. He has a smooth running-walk, rack and will lope if you ask him. All ages ride him now.
He came to us as an experienced trail horse with many miles under saddle. Having now completed our full program he has the best ground and saddle training you can find. Trained the right way he now has extensive experience from basic lunging, flexing, picking up his shoulders, moving off your legs, desensitizing to the obstacle course. All of this has been reinforced by practical experience and many hours under saddle. He is an all-around winner.
If you like water, mud, and steep trails just point Sarge in the direction you want to go and squeeze. While he has been trained by professional trainers, most of his riding has been done by kids or inexperienced adults in nearly every discipline and environment.
Need to move cows? He tracks, cuts, has been roped off of, opens and closes gates, regularly moves cows and will drag anything you latch to him. There is nothing under saddle this fine horse won’t willingly and capably do.
Need a field trial horse? He has been shot off of in the past, has bow shooting and tomahawk throwing experience on our outdoors course. He has spent a lot of time trail riding in large groups and he will walk, gait, lope or stop with perfect control. Walk all day or lope to scout. He can do it all.
He 100% sound with no issues, vices, or barn problems. He stands to be saddled, trimmed, bathed, and used as a diving board in ponds. Bareback, no bridle, you name it. Whatever you want to do, Sarge has been there and done that. He is also a very easy keeper.
